Our First Visitor

It's official! We've welcomed our first visitor to our new home and the kids went wild for their Grammy! So wild in fact . . . She nearly hopped on the Grapevine Express and headed out of town!
She tried to hide, but we could find her mug anywhere.

Big Jake, the Longhorned cattle, convinced her to stay while and visit the sights and scenes of Fort Worth.

So we settled on a pleasant day at the Fort Worth Stockyards for shopping, eating lunch, watching a cattle drive, petting horses and visiting the Cowboy Museum.

I wish that bloggers had an edit and insert button so I could fill in all of the blanks and keep my blog chronologically correct. However, since that is impossible you will have to use your imagination and pretend that you are reading this in the beginning of December- not January.

Monday- Nov 30th we signed the papers and in a small, black velvet drawstring pouch were handed the keys to our new home. An exciting moment for the Langford family.

Drumroll please . . . here we are turning the key to our new life:

Random Updates

It seems as is life is moving along steadily and only when I look at pictures I realize how many small, random happenings are occuring. Here is a random sampling of Langford happenings:

Kaylee has decided to become a "pre-teen" and to complete the look she updated her hair with a shorter, more stylish cut. As she put it, the shorter locks will give her some style instead of pulling her hair back in a ponytail everyday.

Trent has adopted a new identity as " Buzz Lightyear." Every so often he pushes that small red button on the front, and whoosh, out pop his wings. He is often heard firing his laser as he races to infinity and beyond!
We thought Tyler was the one who signed up for guitar lessons, but Trent is determined to learn as well. As Tyler practices, Trent grabs his "guitar" and plays right along with him.

You may think stairs are for climbing, however, in the Langford rental home, they were for sliding. Megan is sledding down the stairs here, polishing her skills for some real snow.

With all of the planes flying overhead, airplanes have become a common topic of conversation. Featured below is Tyler the pilot flying his own Boeing 747 constructed with large wardrobe boxes, some blocks, blankets, pillows for seat cushions, a pizza box for wings, and a chair for the stewardess in the rear. It was a one-of a kind flight!
