We have been fortunate to spend an entire week with our Robertson cousins (Jordan, Jessie, Brian and Kara) during Spring Break while their parents vacationed in Hawaii. The week passed so quickly and was a whirlwind of activity. One of the first stops was Moonlight Beach, where true to Langford tradition, it rained on our drive over. Thankfully, within a few minutes the sun persisted and chased the clouds away revealing a spectacular day. Later in the week, we enjoyed some time at Wild Animal Park feeding the Lorikeets nectar and participating in the butterfly encounter. Swimming, biking and hiking at Poway Lake were also included in our list of activites. Who needs Hawaii when you live in San Diego??? ( j/k)
In all of our beach preparation, Tyler made sure we packed our giant shovels and upon arriving at the sand immediately set forth on his life-sized sand fort. He had big plans for a large castle. Jessie, Kara, Kaylee and Greg helped dig a large surrounding ditch.
Meanwhile, true to form, Trent was on the run straight toward the waves without any fear.
Jordan was so happy, she jumped for joy- though it was probably because there was cell phone reception at the beach!
Trent warmed up to all of his cousins and by the end was cozying up to Jessie on her lap. Here Jordan and Jessie are doing "1, 2, 3 whee" with Trent and swinging him up into the waves. It's too bad we can't see the ear-to-ear grin on his face.
