Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Determined to catch those mischievous leprechauns, Tyler devised a trap complete with a rainbow and gold to lure the little green people in. Everyone knows leprechauns love to break rules, so to make the trap irresistible he placed a "Do Not Climb the Ladder" sign making the ladder too tempting to pass up.
After climbing the ladder and reaching for the gold under the rainbow, those green troublesome leprechauns would fall through the false floor and be caught in the trap! Alas, every great plan has a loop hole and Tyler realized that those lucky Irish must have hung onto the rainbow and averted the trap- so the trap was empty. Although, we know they were here because our milk and breakfast were colored green and the downstairs was a mess- proof positive that those leprechauns outsmarted us yet again. Maybe next year . . . .
Tyler has decided to become a robot designer and create driod-like helpers to assist him in his daily duties. The most important duty he wants to hand off is the dishes . . . but until then he has created the Snapper Robot.

Here are the official plans . . . don't worry they're already patented and protected by copyright laws!

So cute and creative. Alexis made a trap, too, with Josh the night before St. Patrick's Day. She gathered up some of our recyclables to make it and put fool's gold inside. It seems our kids are made from the same mold... perhaps it has to do with spending two years in Mr. Heaton's class together. What will they think of next year? :)

That is one of the cutest things I've seen in a while! Very tricky :)
